- Open the official document page linked above, rather than a search result that points directly to an old file.
- Check the title and date shown on that page, then open its download.
- Read the introductory notes and identify the section relevant to the proposed work.
- Search using the legal company name supplied on your quotation.
- Record the edition, section and matching entry, then confirm the booking paperwork uses the same company identity.
If your phone opens the PDF without a search button, download it and open it in a PDF reader with text search. Search a distinctive part of the name first. If there is no match, try the spacing or wording printed on the company’s own documents. A failed search is a reason to investigate, not proof that a business is unapproved.
If the official link does not load, return to the Public Health Pest Control Section page and follow its approved-companies link. That page also provides the Municipality’s contact route. Ask about the named operator and activity rather than accepting an undated screenshot as a replacement for the current record.

Match a brand to a legal company name
A short trading name in an advertisement may not be the phrase printed in the register. Ask the provider to send its full legal name, then compare the quotation, invoice identity and company documents. Do not assume that two businesses with a similar word in their name are interchangeable.
GRMC is a useful example of this search problem. In the edition checked for this guide, its general-list entry uses the longer legal name shown in the table. Searching only the uninterrupted brand letters can miss the spaced wording. That dated observation does not establish a specialist permission or replace a fresh check before a booking.
For a separate check of business identity, the Dubai business directory allows searching by name or Dubai Unified Licence number. Keep the result alongside the pest-control evidence. Finding a business record should not end the check of the specific service you intend to buy.
Build a shortlist without turning the register into a league table
Decide what your property needs before calling every name in a list. Write down the pest signs, affected rooms, property type and access limits. For a managed apartment, say whether the issue is inside the unit or also reported in a shared area. This gives providers the same starting information and makes their replies easier to compare.
Next, ask shortlisted companies to explain the proposed inspection and treatment scope. A quote for one room is not equivalent to a quote for the whole apartment. A first visit without follow-up is not the same package as a plan with a scheduled review. Record those differences before comparing the total.

What if a company name does not appear in a text search?
Ask for its full legal name and check spacing, branch wording and the correct activity section. If the mismatch remains, ask the provider and the Municipality to clarify it. Do not treat a search failure alone as a finding against the company.
Does Group A mean the best company?
No. The official file explains the grouping by qualified manpower. Choose a provider by checking the relevant documents and comparing the actual proposal for your property, rather than using a letter as a review score.
Can I use the general list for termite work?
The document separates specialist activities from general pest control. Check the section relevant to the job and ask the company to identify the permission that covers its proposal. Do not infer specialist coverage from a general entry.
Does the GRMC entry prove every advertised service is covered?
No. The example identifies a dated entry in the general list. Ask GRMC for current documents matching the particular activity and quotation, as you would with any other provider.
