Pest Control Companies in Abu Dhabi: How to Check and Compare Them

Table of Contents

There is no official ranking of pest control companies in Abu Dhabi, and no public register of permitted ones either, so any list that places one company above another is somebody’s opinion. What you can check is the company that quoted you. Look up its economic licence on TAMM, ask for its Abu Dhabi Public Health Centre (ADPHC) work permit in writing, and compare quotes on what each one includes before you compare the totals. This guide shows how, and sets out what the public record says about the companies people search for most.

That gap comes from how the emirate regulates the work. ADPHC issues the work permits for pest control in Abu Dhabi, and it does not publish a list of the companies that hold one. Dubai Municipality does publish such a list, which is why verification advice written for Dubai stops working at the emirate border, and why a Dubai approval badge tells an Abu Dhabi resident very little about a job in Khalifa City or on Al Reem Island.

On 21 September 2026 we read the websites of the Abu Dhabi companies people most often search for by name. What each one publishes about itself is quoted below with that date. Where something could not be verified we say so, and nobody on this page gets a score, ourselves included.

At GRMC Pest Control, we have an office in Abu Dhabi and an obvious interest in which company you book, so the method on this page is written to work on us as well as on anyone else.

This guide covers who regulates pest control companies in Abu Dhabi, a step-by-step check you can run before booking, a table of what to compare between quotes, how to read the reviews, and what the few published prices actually include.

What you can and cannot check in Abu Dhabi

Before the detail, here is the whole picture, one line per piece of evidence a company might show you.

  • Economic licence: checkable. The UAE government portal points Abu Dhabi licence enquiries to TAMM, so you can confirm for yourself that the business exists and is licensed.
  • ADPHC work permit: it exists, but there is no public register to search. You have to ask the company for the document and read it.
  • Dubai Municipality approval: searchable, and only relevant to work in Dubai. It carries no authority over a job in Abu Dhabi.
  • Badges and logos: ISO marks, association logos and “Municipality certified” are worth as much as the certificate number and issuing body behind them, and on the company sites we read we found no certificate numbers beside them.
  • Star ratings: easy to find and weaker evidence than they look. How a company answers its complaints tells you more.

Who regulates pest control companies in Abu Dhabi

Pest control in the emirate sits with the Abu Dhabi Public Health Centre. Its own service page says that “the public health pest control services have been transferred under our mandate”, and then sets out what the Centre does with that mandate: it “will issue and renew work permits for all public health pest control activities, oversee pesticide management, implement safety procedures for both personal and environmental aspects in the Emirate and also generate reports on the effectiveness of pest control services”.

The same page tells commercial providers that the licensing process “has now been moved to ADPHC” and that they can “process your licensing applications through the TAMM platform”. In practice, a company doing pest control in Abu Dhabi deals with two separate documents: its ordinary business licence, which in Abu Dhabi is called an economic licence, and the ADPHC work permit for the pest control activity itself. They are checked in different ways, and the difference is the heart of the checklist below.

Tadweer and Dubai Municipality badges on an Abu Dhabi job

Before ADPHC took over, pest control in the emirate was handled by Tadweer, the Abu Dhabi Waste Management Centre. A website that still offers “Tadweer registered” as its Abu Dhabi credential is describing an arrangement that no longer covers pest control permits. Usually that means the page has not been updated since the change, and it is not evidence that the company lacks a current permit. It does mean the badge answers an out-of-date question, so ask for the ADPHC document instead.

Dubai Municipality approval is a genuine credential with a searchable list behind it, and our guide to Dubai Municipality approved pest control explains how to check it. Its reach ends at the Dubai border. A company offering it as proof for a villa in Mohammed Bin Zayed City is showing you the wrong document, however real the approval is. If your property is in Dubai, our guide to checking pest control companies in Dubai covers the list and how to search it.

What ADPHC does for residents directly

ADPHC is also a service provider in its own right. Its page says the Centre “will process service requests concerning the monitoring and control of pests in residences, public areas and facilities”. It also lists “disease vector management” in all public areas of Abu Dhabi, and “on-call services”, described as “providing vector disease control services for residents upon their requests”.

The same page tells individuals, farms and homeowners to call the Government Contact Centre on 800555 and choose the Department of Health, Abu Dhabi option, or to register a request through TAMM. If mosquitoes are coming from a public area next to your villa, such as a drainage channel or a landscaped verge, that is the route to try before you pay a private company to treat your garden.

A verification checklist for any Abu Dhabi pest control company

These checks take a few minutes, and they are worth running before anyone treats your home, including when the company is us.

Step 1: get the registered name and licence number in writing

The name on the van or the Instagram page is usually a brand. Ask for the full registered company name and the economic licence number by message before you confirm the booking, so you have both in writing and you know exactly what to search for.

If a company is reluctant to put its registered name in a message, take that into account before you pay anything.

Step 2: look the licence up on TAMM

The UAE government’s official portal keeps a page called Verify business licences, which says its links “will help you check business activities registered, and licences issued in the UAE”. For Abu Dhabi it points to the “Enquire about economic licences” service on TAMM, the emirate’s government services platform.

When the result comes back, compare it with your quotation. The name should match the one the company gave you, the licence should be current, and the registered activities should include pest control. A difference in the name is common and not always a warning, since some groups trade through more than one entity, but the company should be able to explain it in a single message.

If the licence was issued in another emirate, the same government page lists the matching service there, such as Dubai Economy and Tourism’s licence information search. Either way, the business licence shows only that the company exists. The next step covers the work itself.

Step 3: ask for the ADPHC work permit and read it

ADPHC says it issues work permits for “all public health pest control activities” in the emirate. Because Abu Dhabi publishes no register of permit holders, the only way to see one is to ask. Request a copy by message before treatment day.

Read it for the basics: the company name should match the licence you have just looked up, and the permit should be in date. If something does not add up, or the company cannot produce anything at all, the Government Contact Centre on 800555 is the route ADPHC itself gives for pest control matters.

A permit will not tell you whether a company is any good. It tells you the company has been cleared to do the work, which is the floor you need before comparing anything else.

Step 4: ask the questions that decide the job

Once the paperwork is in order, these are the questions that separate one quote from another. Ask them before you book, and ask for the answers in writing.

  • What will be applied: the product names, and the Material Safety Data Sheet for each one, before treatment day. A treatment described only as “strong” or “gas”, with no product named, is a reason to ask again.
  • How long to stay out: the re-entry time for children and pets, and whether it differs between a gel bait in the kitchen and a residual spray along the skirting.
  • How many visits: whether a follow-up is included, and when it happens. Bed bugs and German cockroaches (Blattella germanica) usually need a planned second visit because their eggs survive treatments that kill the adults, and our bed bug treatment guide explains how that timing is set.
  • What happens if the pest is still there: the callback period, which pest and which rooms it covers, and what voids it.
  • Who is coming: whether the technician is the company’s own staff, and what identification he will carry. Dubai Municipality issues technicians a Pest Control ID card. ADPHC’s service page does not describe an equivalent, so ask the company what its Abu Dhabi technicians carry and check it at the door.
  • Access: many towers and gated villa communities, on Al Reem Island, Yas Island and elsewhere, need a contractor pass or a booking with building management. Arrange it when you book so the technician is not turned away at the gate.

What to compare between any two pest control quotes

Price is the number people compare first, and it tells you very little until you know what sits underneath it. The table sets out what to compare between any providers, what a useful answer looks like and what should make you ask again, without rating any company.

What to compare A useful answer Ask again if
Legal identity Registered name and economic licence number in writing, matching what TAMM returns You only have a brand name and a mobile number
Abu Dhabi permit A copy of the ADPHC work permit, in date, in the same company name “Tadweer registered” or Dubai Municipality approval is offered as the Abu Dhabi credential
Products Named products, with a Material Safety Data Sheet for each, sent before treatment day The treatment is described by adjectives, with no product named
Visits included The number of visits and the interval between them, matched to the pest A single visit is quoted for bed bugs, or nobody asks which pest you have
Callback terms How long the callback period runs, which pest and rooms it covers, and what voids it, on the quotation The promise is verbal, or the period has no end date
Price basis The property size it assumes, whether VAT is included, and what is excluded The figure changes on the day with no written reason
Preparation and re-entry Written instructions on what to clear or cover, and how long children and pets stay out You are told nothing until the technician arrives
Treatment record A written report of what was found, where, what was applied and when the next visit is The technician leaves without paperwork
Complaint handling Public replies to negative reviews that offer a return visit or an explanation Complaints sit unanswered, or the replies argue with the customer

A quote that answers every row in writing is far easier to hold a company to later, whatever its total. The rows also work in reverse: if you are a landlord, a holiday home host or a facilities manager, the treatment record and the callback terms are the documents you will be asked for when a tenant or an inspector raises the problem again.

The Abu Dhabi companies people search for, and what their websites say

People reach this page searching for specific companies by name, often with the word “reviews” attached. We do not rate or rank them. What follows is what each company says about itself on its own website, read on 21 September 2026, alongside what the public record does not let anyone confirm. The companies are listed alphabetically.

Where we quote a credential, we are reporting the claim and have not confirmed it. Where a price appears, it is the company’s own published figure on that date. One pattern held across all four sites: none of the pages we read named ADPHC, the body that now issues Abu Dhabi’s pest control work permits. That is most likely a sign of how rarely company websites get updated, it says nothing either way about any company’s actual standing, and it is the reason Step 3 above matters.

American Bite Pest Control and Cleaning Services

Its about page describes an Abu Dhabi business operating since 2015 and states: “We are fully licensed by Abu Dhabi Municipality and registered with Tadweer (Abu Dhabi Waste Management Centre).” It says it follows “HACCP, ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001 standards”, and that “every treatment includes a follow up window”, with a return visit at no extra cost if pests come back within it. Among its headline figures the page shows “30-Day” beside “Service Guarantee”.

The page publishes no prices, and we found no certificate numbers beside the standards it names. The Tadweer wording describes the arrangement that applied before ADPHC took over pest control permits, so it does not answer the Abu Dhabi permit question either way. Ask for the ADPHC document, ask whether that 30-day figure is the follow-up window, and get its terms in writing: which pests, which areas, and what voids it.

Organic Home Solutions

It is one of the two companies on this page that publish prices. Its cockroach control page lists packages starting from AED 299 for a studio apartment and rising to AED 799 for a five to six bedroom villa, with the note “Prices are excluding 5% VAT”. Each package lists gel bait and spray, a follow-up visit, which the page places “after 15 days”, and a “60-day warranty”.

The site describes the company as “Municipality Certified” and displays logos including BPCA, ADQCC, DOH and ISO 9001:2015, and we found no certificate numbers beside them. “Municipality certified” does not say which authority or which document, and in Abu Dhabi the pest control permit comes from ADPHC, so that is the document to ask for. The site also calls its products “100% Organic Formulas”; ask for the product names and safety data sheets, exactly as you would with anyone else.

Quality Pest Control (QPC)

Its homepage answers the price question in its FAQ, saying pest control “starts from AED 150” and depends mainly on the size of the apartment or villa, the infestation and the treatment. It does not say whether that figure includes VAT or how many visits it covers.

Under “Certifications & Approvals” the homepage names ICV, ISO, Tadweer, Sharjah Municipality and Dubai Municipality, and it describes the company as having “more than 15+ Years of Experience” and working across Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Sharjah. We found no certificate or permit numbers alongside those names. The Dubai and Sharjah approvals relate to those emirates, so for an Abu Dhabi job the document to ask for is the ADPHC permit.

Rentokil Boecker

Its Abu Dhabi page states that Rentokil Boecker “is part of Rentokil Initial, a global services company operating in over 80 countries”, describes it as “solving pest problems in the UAE for over 20 years”, and says “All our services are ISO 9001:2015 certified”.

No certificate number appears on that page, and it publishes no prices. As with every company here, none of that replaces the licence lookup and the ADPHC permit, which apply to a large group in the same way as to a small one.

Also searched for

Al Waha Hygiene, German Pest Control, Evershine, Smart Care and Shinex Care appear on one or both of the Abu Dhabi company lists published by the Bayut and Property Finder property portals. We did not read their websites for this update, so we say nothing about them here, and the checklist above applies to them in exactly the same way.

One correction, because people search for it alongside Abu Dhabi: the UAE business directories that list Al Mabrouk Pest Control place it in Sharjah, and we found nothing placing it in Abu Dhabi. Check the emirate on any company’s licence before assuming it works at your address.

Reading reviews of an Abu Dhabi pest control company

Reviews are worth reading as long as you read them for the right things. The star average on its own tells you little. Read how the company replies to complaints instead, because a calm reply offering a return visit shows you what will happen at your property when something goes wrong.

Two checks matter more in Abu Dhabi than elsewhere. Companies with branches in several emirates often have a separate profile for each location, so make sure the reviews you are reading belong to the branch that would send the technician to you. Then read the recent reviews that have text in them, looking for the operational problems that decide a job: appointments missed, follow-up visits that never happened, or a callback that was refused.

We set out a full method in our guide to reading pest control company reviews in the UAE, including why reviews a company asked for and reviews customers volunteered tell different stories, and why the same company can look very different on two review sites.

What pest control costs in Abu Dhabi, from the prices companies publish

Many Abu Dhabi companies quote only on request, so any figure in a guide has to come from the ones that publish. On 21 September 2026, Organic Home Solutions’ website listed cockroach control from AED 299 for a studio to AED 799 for a five to six bedroom villa, excluding 5% VAT, and Quality Pest Control’s homepage said its pest control starts from AED 150, depending on the property and the infestation.

Those two figures cannot be compared as they stand. One is a package price that its page says includes a follow-up visit and excludes VAT. The other is a starting point that depends on the job and does not say what it includes. That is the normal state of pricing in this market, and it is why the table above looks at what a quote includes before it looks at the total.

Add VAT before you compare any two quotes, ask how many visits are included, and ask what is excluded, such as moving heavy appliances or sealing gaps around pipes.

Frequently asked questions

Which is the best pest control company in Abu Dhabi?

Public information cannot answer that, because Abu Dhabi publishes no register of permitted pest control companies and no official ranking. The best choice for your job is a company whose economic licence checks out on TAMM, which can show you its ADPHC work permit, and whose quote states the visits, products and callback terms in writing.

Who issues pest control permits in Abu Dhabi?

The Abu Dhabi Public Health Centre (ADPHC). Its pest control services page states that it will issue and renew work permits for all public health pest control activities in the emirate, and that commercial providers process their licensing applications through the TAMM platform. ADPHC does not publish a list of the companies holding a permit.

How do I check if a pest control company in Abu Dhabi is licensed?

Ask for the registered company name and economic licence number in writing, then look the licence up through TAMM’s economic licence enquiry, which the UAE government portal lists as the Abu Dhabi route for verifying business licences. Then ask the company for a copy of its ADPHC work permit and check that the name matches. If anything does not add up, ADPHC gives the Government Contact Centre on 800555 as its contact route.

Is Dubai Municipality approval valid in Abu Dhabi?

No. Dubai Municipality approval covers pest control work in Dubai, and it can be checked on the Municipality’s published list. In Abu Dhabi, ADPHC issues the work permits, so for an Abu Dhabi property ask for the ADPHC document instead.

Is a pest control company registered with Tadweer still approved?

Tadweer no longer handles pest control permits in Abu Dhabi, because ADPHC states on its own service page that pest control services have been transferred under its mandate. A website still advertising Tadweer registration has usually not been updated, which does not prove the company lacks a current permit. Ask for its ADPHC work permit to settle it.

How much does pest control cost in Abu Dhabi?

Many companies quote only on request. On 21 September 2026, Organic Home Solutions’ website listed cockroach control from AED 299 for a studio to AED 799 for a five to six bedroom villa, excluding 5% VAT, and Quality Pest Control’s homepage said pest control starts from AED 150 depending on property size and infestation. Before comparing quotes, add VAT and check how many visits each one includes.

Is pest control safe for children and pets?

It depends on the product and how it is applied, so ask for the named products and their Material Safety Data Sheets before treatment day, together with the re-entry time for children and pets. Gel baits placed inside cabinets and residual sprays along skirting boards carry different instructions. ADPHC lists oversight of pesticide management among its functions in the emirate.

Can I ask the government to deal with pests in Abu Dhabi?

Yes. ADPHC’s page says it will process service requests concerning the monitoring and control of pests in residences, public areas and facilities, and it lists on-call vector disease control services for residents on request. It tells individuals, farms and homeowners to call the Government Contact Centre on 800555 and choose the Department of Health, Abu Dhabi option, or to register a request through TAMM. If you book a private company instead, run the checks on this page first.

Applying the same standard to GRMC

We are a pest control company writing about how to check pest control companies, so here is what you can and cannot check about us. GRMC is family owned and, by our own company records, was founded in 1990. We have offices in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, with the Abu Dhabi office in Khalidiya, Al Hisn W4.

In Dubai, we appear on Dubai Municipality’s list of approved pest control companies, August 2026 edition, at entry 135 of the general list in Group C, under the registered name G R M C FOR PUBLIC HEALTH PESTS CONTROL SERVICES CO. L.L.C. Group C is the band that list uses for companies with one to ten qualified staff, and none of this is an Abu Dhabi credential, for the reasons set out above.

In Abu Dhabi, the emirate publishes no register of permit holders, so there is no public page we can point you to either. Ask us for the same documents this guide tells you to request from any company (the economic licence number and the ADPHC work permit) and check them the same way. We will also name every product before we apply it and put the visits and callback terms on the quotation.

Our commercial terms are in writing too. GRMC’s UAE offer is “100% Pest-Free Or Money Back”: if the pest is still there after the treatment and the follow-up visit, you get your money back. For a typical job, such as cockroach control in an apartment on Al Reem Island or a villa in Khalifa City, ask us to show you on the quotation how the follow-up visit and that offer apply, just as you would ask any company to explain its callback terms.

When you are ready, Contact GRMC Pest Control for an inspection in Abu Dhabi, and run every check on this page on us before you book.

Details on this page were checked on 21 September 2026 against the Abu Dhabi Public Health Centre’s pest control services page, the UAE government portal’s business licence verification page, the August 2026 edition of Dubai Municipality’s Approved Pest Control Companies list and each named company’s own website. Websites and prices change, so confirm directly with any company before booking.
